General
What is a Statement of Information?
It's a routine disclosure the California Secretary of State requires from every corporation on file — your registered agent, officers and directors, and business addresses. It keeps the state's public record of your company current, and filing it on time is what keeps your entity in good standing.
Who is FileBizOnline for?
California corporations that need to file a Statement of Information and would rather hand the form to someone who does this every day than parse the state's PDF instructions themselves. You bring your entity details; we handle the paperwork.
Do I need an account to start?
No. You can fill out the entire filing and pay as a guest. We only ask you to sign in if the email you enter already matches an existing FileBizOnline account, so a paid filing never gets orphaned on an account you can't access.
How much does it cost?
We charge a single flat fee of $150 per filing — no add-ons, no upsells, no hidden charges. That covers our review and preparation of your Statement of Information.
How long does it take?
Filling out the form takes most people 10–15 minutes if you have your entity number and officer details on hand. We begin working your filing as soon as payment clears, and you'll get an email the moment it's complete.
Is my information secure?
Yes. Payment is handled entirely inside Stripe's embedded checkout — your card details never touch our servers. Your filing data is stored in a database protected by row-level security, so it's only ever readable by you and, if you upload one, supporting documents are stored in a private bucket behind short-lived signed URLs. See our Trust & Security page for the full picture.
What if I make a mistake on my filing?
Review your entire filing on the final step before you pay — every field is editable up to that point. If something still needs a correction after submission, contact us right away and we'll help before it's filed with the state.
What happens after I submit and pay?
You'll get an emailed confirmation immediately, and a copy of your submission is saved to your dashboard. We prepare and file your Statement of Information, and update your filing's status as it moves through review, filing, and completion — all visible from your dashboard.
Pricing & payment
Is the state filing fee included?
Our flat fee covers our service — reviewing your submission, preparing it correctly, and filing it. Any separate state filing fee charged by the California Secretary of State, where applicable, is billed by the state directly and is not part of our fee.
Are there any hidden or recurring charges?
No. You pay once, per filing, at the price shown before you check out. We don't store your card for future automatic charges and don't enroll you in a subscription.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major debit and credit cards, processed securely through Stripe's embedded checkout.
Do you offer refunds?
If we haven't yet filed your Statement of Information, contact us and we'll work with you — see our refund policy for the full terms.
Security & privacy
Can you see my card number?
No. Checkout is Stripe's embedded Checkout, rendered on our page but handled entirely by Stripe. Your card details are sent directly to Stripe and never pass through our servers.
Who can see my filing data?
Only you, and staff reviewing your filing before it's submitted to the state. Access is enforced with row-level security policies in the database itself, so it's not something an application bug could accidentally expose.
Where are my uploaded documents stored?
In a private storage bucket, never publicly accessible. When you or an authorized reviewer needs to view a document, we generate a short-lived signed link rather than exposing a permanent public URL.
Your account
I paid as a guest — how do I access my filing later?
Once your filing is submitted, we email you a secure link to set up access to your account using the same email address you filed with, so you can sign in and track your filing going forward.
Can I file for more than one entity?
Yes. Start a new filing for each entity — each one gets its own record on your dashboard, tracked separately.
How do I change my password or account email?
From your dashboard, once signed in. If you're locked out, use the "forgot password" link on the sign-in page.
Ready to file your Statement of Information?
Start now — it takes about 15 minutes, and you only pay the flat $150 fee once you reach checkout.
